All of a sudden “4 bars!”

So I have had a problem with my cell phone for a while, the problem is, it works everywhere in town, except for when I go home, it doesn’t work there. Is this a problem, not really, most folks know they can catch me online, but sometimes I get important messages late for example. However, today for some strange reason my cell phone has 4 bars! Full, clear conversations and the data is coming down fast to the phone as well. What a wonderful day, I just woke up and some genie somewhere blinked and now I have coverage, all is well.

Last Saturday, I stumbled into the emergency room. What happened?
Well I had several wounds on my abdomen that I didn’t get medical
attention for. “I can treat it myself, I’ll take salt baths and put
hydrogen peroxide on it,” I thought. Well I am a complete moron, the
infection got out of control. I drove myself to the hospital. When they looked at my wounds they could not believe I had let things
go so far. I had to immediately go into surgery so they could cut out
the infected area. They then informed me that I was a diabetic which
explained why I wouldn’t heal properly. So now I am connected to a
wound vac with tubes coming out of me. I now have to stay home for a
couple of months while I heal, just because I was a stupid, stubborn
man.

Update: Sadly, I have been disqualified, I turned in a bad tape somehow. I did get them a new copy of the film, but I was rescheduled for 9:20PM and I am out of competition. Booooooo Hissssssss.

I participated in the 2008 Dallas 24-Hour Video Race on Saturday May 17. There will be a screening at the Angelika Film Center on Tuesday May 20 at 7:45PM. The Angelika Film Center is located near the Mockingbird train station. Admission for adults is $5 and $3 for kids 12 and under. Come on out and support the Dallas Video Association as well as independent filmmaking. If you can’t make it in person, I’ve included the film below.

I headed over to Cafe Brazil for a WordPress Meetup yesterday. It was the first meeting and there really wasn’t that much WordPress talk, we basically all networked with each other. During the meeting Cali Lewis busted out her Nokia N95 and started live video broadcasting on it. It was alot of fun, I’m the first interview!
